STATEMENT FROM THE NEW YORK STATE POLICE INVESTIGATORS ASSOCIATION
The following statement is attributable to Tim Dymond, President of the New York State Police Investigators Association
“We learned today that the New York State Appellate Division Third Department overruled a lower court decision to hold New York State Trooper Christopher Baldner without bail. The New York State Police Investigators Association applauds the decision by the Third Department to grant bail to Trooper Baldner, who poses no flight risk or danger to the community.
It is unfortunate that it took an appeal to the Appellate Division to undo this wrong, but thankfully the higher court was able to look at the facts of the case and make a decision based solely on the law and not political pressure.”
